About KickoffPools
KickoffPools is a free online football squares and pick'em pool maker for friends, families, and coworkers.
Who runs this
I'm Brandon Livingstone, a software developer in Central Florida. KickoffPools is built and run by my one-person shop, Central Florida Software — the same shop behind a few other small products. There's no growth team and no venture money; there's a guy who likes football and shipping software.
Why it exists
I wanted a squares board my family and friends could join straight from the group text — no app to install, no accounts to create, and nobody's money sitting in anybody's hands. Paper grids get lost and spreadsheets get fought over, so I built the version I wanted: tap a link, claim your squares, and watch the winners light up on their own.
The one rule
KickoffPools never touches money. No entry fees, no pots, no payouts — the site organizes the fun and keeps score, and winners win bragging rights. That's a deliberate design decision, not a missing feature, and it's what keeps the game friendly (and legal) everywhere. The site runs on ads and, eventually, optional cosmetic upgrades like custom board images.
