One game, a sheet of questions, one winner of the room.

How does a prediction sheet work?

The commissioner picks one game and the questions; everyone fills out the sheet before kickoff, and each right answer is worth one point. It's the classic party sheet passed around at Thanksgiving or the Big Game — except it grades itself and nobody has to collect paper.

What questions are on the sheet?

Ten standard questions the commissioner can keep or drop: who wins, which team scores first, who leads at halftime, which team scores last, whether more points come after halftime than before it, whether any quarter is scoreless for both teams, whether the game goes to overtime, fourth-quarter points, the winning margin, and total points. The commissioner can add up to ten of their own, with answer choices ("Coin toss? Heads or Tails") or as yes/no questions.

How do the number questions work?

Closest guess wins the point. If the total is 41 and the guesses are 38, 44, and 52, the 38 and the 44 are both three off, so both score. There are no over/under lines — just guesses.

Who grades the answers?

The standard questions grade themselves from the live score whenever the data is clear. If the feed can't tell — say both teams' scores changed in the same update, so "who scored first" is ambiguous — that question waits for the commissioner. The commissioner grades the custom questions and can override any result from the manage page.

What's the tiebreaker?

The closest total-points guess. If two players finish with the same number of right answers, the one whose total was closer ranks higher.

When does the sheet lock?

At kickoff. You can change answers until then, and nobody sees anyone else's sheet until the game starts.

Can it run on a game that isn't on TV?

Yes. Type in a custom game — a high school rivalry, the family flag football game — and the commissioner keeps score quarter by quarter from the manage page. The sheet grades from those scores.

What do winners get?

Bragging rights. KickoffPools never collects, holds, or pays out money and never awards prizes.
