How does a score predictor work?

The commissioner picks the games and everyone predicts the final score of each one before it kicks off. Points come from how close you got once the game is final, and the highest total wins.

How is it scored?

Each game is worth up to 10 points: 3 for the right winner, +2 for the exact winning margin, and +5 for the exact final score. If a game finishes 27–24, then predicting 27–24 scores 10; 24–21 scores 5 (right winner, right margin); 31–17 scores 3; and picking the other team scores 0. A predicted tie only counts if the game actually ties.

Does overtime count?

Yes — it's the final score on the scoreboard, overtime included.

Can other players see my predictions?

Not until kickoff. Predictions stay hidden while a game is open and appear on the pool page once it starts, each with the points it earned when the game ends.

How are ties in the standings broken?

By exact scores called, then by correct winners. Two players level on points with one exact score each stay tied — and share the crown.

Is this betting?

No. There are no lines, no spreads, and no money anywhere in it — you're predicting real final scores for bragging rights, the same way you'd argue about it at the bar.

How do you join?

Open the pool link, type your name, and enter your predictions. No app, no account.

What do winners get?

Bragging rights. KickoffPools never collects, holds, or pays out money and never awards prizes.
